HoppyGo is changing its direction. After years of enabling people to share their cars through peer-to-peer car sharing, we have decided to end this service. The final day of peer-to-peer car sharing will be October 15, 2025.
Why is HoppyGo changing?
HoppyGo has also been focusing on new types of mobility services that have achieved great success:
- Škoda Explore – a service offering test car rentals at authorized dealers in the Czech Republic
- Škoda GO – flexible long-term car rentals in Slovakia
These services, built on the same technological platform, show the direction we want to continue pursuing. The peer-to-peer model has been losing momentum in recent years and no longer meets expectations in terms of future growth. That’s why HoppyGo is shifting its focus to projects with long-term sustainability and development potential.
What does this mean for users?
For renters: Peer-to-peer car sharing will end on October 15, 2025. After this date, renting a car through HoppyGo will no longer be possible.
For car owners: From this date, it will no longer be possible to offer cars for rent within the peer-to-peer system.
HoppyGo will continue as a technological platform for smart mobility. For users still interested in renting cars, we recommend trying the Škoda Explore service, which allows you to rent Škoda electric models for up to 14 days.
We would like to thank everyone who has been part of our journey. We genuinely appreciate your support and the experiences we have shared.
Thank you — and we look forward to new beginnings.
